Euro-CNS Training Courses (CME and Basic Courses)

To enhance training and raise standards in neuropathology throughout Europe, EURO-CNS regularly organizes CME (continued medical education) courses in Neuropathology. In addition, EURO-CNS has established the first Euro-CNS Basic Course in Neuropathology (10-14 March 2008), which is described on a separate page. The CME training courses are of interest to junior neuropathologists or general clinical pathologists, as well as neuroscientists interested in diagnostic problems in neuropathology. The courses are tutored by senior consultants and academic staff from various European countries. All courses are given in English.
Accreditation by the UEMS EACCME (European Accreditation Council for Continued Medical iEducation) had been arranged for all courses since November 2004.
The most recent (11th) course titled 'Tumours of the Central Nervous System and its Coverings" was held in Athens, Greece, from 6-8 May 2008, immediately preceding the 9th European Congress of Neuropathology (8-10 May 2008). The next course will be on "Muscle and Peripheral Nerve Pathology" and will be held in Rostock, Germany.
