Council of Euro-CNS and UEMS Subspecialty Board of Neuropathology

The Council of EURO-CNS is composed of two representatives per member Society and 5 Officers. A councilor usually serves for 4 years, but can be re-elected for an extra term.

The governing body of the Euro-CNS consists of five Officers: the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Editor of Clinical Neuropathology. They are elected by the Council from the membership. The President and Vice-President serve for two years. The Vice-President normally ascends to the position of President at the end of his/her term. It's the purpose to have the President's Office in a different member country each term. The Secretary and Treasurer may serve for 4 years, with the option of re-election for one further term. The Editor serves for 4 years.

The Council meets at least once a year and can establish Subcommittees for special purposes. Non-Council members may join these committees.

The UEMS Subspecialty Board of Neuropathology consists of two representatives per EU/FTA country. For the time being these representatives are the same individuals as the Euro-CNS Council. In addition, the Baltic States and Scandinavia have individual representatives on board.
