In 2016, the European Confederation of Neuropathological Societies (Euro-CNS) and the French Society of Neuropathology will host the 11th European Congress of Neuropathology in Bordeaux, the full of light and utterly bewitching capital of wine.

The meeting will be held in the “Cité Mondiale” Convention Center conveniently located in the heart of the city, on the banks of the Garonne, in the historic heart of the wine-making hub of the Chartrons. The congress center provides top-level facilities for professional conventions: a large reception hall, one auditorium, several break-out rooms, and a large multi-purpose space for posters, industrial exhibitors, coffee and lunch break.

The scientific program will cover many aspects of neuropathology and will interact with other areas of neuroscience. Leading neuropathologists and neuroscientists will be invited for plenary lectures. Parallel sessions of symposia and workshops will provide key updates and debate on recent progress in diagnostic neuropathological practice and in other interactive scientific approaches. Several sessions on different topics will permit a large selection of posters to be presented on platform, and a two hours interactive slide seminar will be organized.

The social program for accompanying guests is attractive. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bordeaux offers more than 350 classified buildings and historic monuments to visit. Tours of Bordeaux, famous vineyards with tasting at wine chateaux and visit of Saint Emilion medieval city can be organized. Furthermore, the Atlantic Ocean, the “Bassin d’Arcachon” and their endless beaches of white sand offer superb opportunities for walkers, bikers and sun-bathers.

The congress will be preceded by the  Examination for the European Fellowship in Neuropathology (4-5 July 2016). Information is on the Euro-CNS website (click here).
